Part 1 – Caring for Patients with Diabetes, High Cholesterol, and Hypertension (4 Hours)
Part 2 – Caring for Patients with Asthma and COPD (4 Hours)

SUMMARY: These workshops review the disease process, its impact on the body systems, common medical interventions, signs and symptoms, and watch and report. Trainees will understand coping mechanisms for chronic illnesses and how to encourage patients to adopt healthy behaviors.

  • This class is free to all people who work in long term care.

  • No. Please be prepared to bring a lunch or visit a local restaurant.

  • Some of the local restaurants are Wendy's, Subway, Jim's Steakout, Just Pizza, the Lunch Box at the Tri-Main Center.

  • Free parking is available. Please look for the Key Bank parking lot on the corner of Main Street and Jewett Avenue. If this parking lot is full, there is additional parking available in the back of the building on Leroy Avenue.
