Participants of this course will receive a three-year national certification as a Mental Health First Aid. This course focuses on recognizing patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and appearance that indicate a challenge rather than a specific disorder. You will learn an action plan to apply to crisis and non-crisis situations. This course is an international, empirically-backed public education and prevention tool that improves knowledge of mental health problems and connects people to appropriate services and care.
This course is comprised of one session of self-paced work (two hours) and one webinar that features group discussions (four hours). Registration will sign you up for the first section. The link for the other session will be provided by the instructor during the course.
